The weekend that the 2001 Snowbird Nationals were being run in Orlando (01-21-01) was the week that 
Thunder Raceway was torn down by the Tampa Airport.  The new tradition of the Snowbirds has now 
begun on carpet as the old raceway has been buried and laid to rest.  The race will go on!
