Elections

I have built and run the tracks for the last four years and have enjoyed every minute of it. When I took over in 2002, the offroad track was waist high in weeds and have, with help from many sources, managed to get it to where it is today. The operation of the facility is a daily job and before I get burned out, the association found a very capable and enthusiastic group of people to take the association and tracks forward. Please cooperate with, and support them and the tracks will continue to grow and offer more activities. Your labor on the tracks is the most important resource to improve the facility. Race and practice fees buy the items needed but money does not groom and repair the tracks. To all those that have helped me throughout, I send a hearty thank you.

Mel is a great guy and has only the best intentions for the tracks. He is very capable and is dedicated to the position he has assumed. He will have some hard decisions to make and some will not always make everybody happy, but the decisions that I made, and that he will make, had, and have, to keep the overall picture in mind. He is one who listens to all sides and then makes up his mind. We have to be fair to everybody. It is a very diverse group that have different interests in the classes that they race. But, the big umbrella is r/c car racing. This is the best facility in the southeast and can handle every class and type of racing. It takes a lot of help and cooperation, so, help him, and understand how and why he decides things like he does.

I have been asked to continue to be the liaison with the county and I agreed. I will also do the mowing and trimming. I will still be around and hope to do more racing. Now that I can spend more time on the cars, maybe I can win one now and then.
