Spec/Handout Tire Classes (ROAD):
Tires are not part of your entryPurchase from us at race.  Racers are limited on amount of 'race' tires.  We will sell unmarked tires for practice if you wish.
Touring Rubber Spec/Handout Tires:
   - Tires will be JACO Blue touring tires
World GT Spec/Handout Tires:
   - Tires will be BSR World GT Spec Tires

Tire Traction Rules:
'Sticky Fingers' will be the official traction compound and only one allowed for the 2010 Snowbirds.  It is odorless and has been providing excellent results in both road and oval racing.  It will be available at the race.

Brushless Motor Rules:
Motors in the controlled classes (10.5, 13.5, etc) can not be 'modified' externally or internally from factory.  Bearing changes, rotor replacement, etc is legal.  Timing adjustments are legal (as limited by manufacture design).  By no modification, we mean physical and deliberate changes to the motor from what it was designed for (no timing/can modifications, wire altercations, solder tampering, etc.).  No oversized modified rotors allowed in spec classes (must remain the stock size/type).  Tuning rotors are legal if on the Roar approved list for that specific motor (tuning rotors are still spec sizes and are not modified style rotors).  We will have inductance minimums (and set ranges) for motor winds and brands.  Motors must be available for sale before race.
 - No active cooling / freeze spraying motors
 - Heat sinks / one fan for motor are legal
 - No hybrids / mixing of brands or parts
 - 5 +/- degrees of trackside ambient to race

LiPo Battery Rules:
LiPo users are responsible for their actions. It is recommended to follow all safety warnings (including the use of a LiPo sack).  LiPo's must be available for sale before race and Roar approved (and Tour approved in the oval classes using Tour battery rules).
 - 2S Max Voltage to race:  8.44
 - 1S Max Voltage to race:  4.22
 - 5 +/- degrees of trackside ambient to race

*rule #1 is to have fun racing r/c cars!!!

2010 Snowbird Champion Rings:
All A-main winners this year will have the unique opportunity to get a custom designed champions ring for 2010.  Exact costs are being worked out but we will pay delivery, art, and mold costs for each ring.  These will only be available to winners.  We will still be handing out the popular palm tree acrylic awards to A-main winners and the large Snowbird Cup trophy once again for 2010!

Special Thanks:
We thank ROAR and TOUR for their support and allowing us to note them in our rules.  Thunder Racing supports both organizations.
