Nascar Drivers Race:
Several Nascar drivers race r/c cars.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been to several oval races and Tony Stewart races and owns Custom Works.   Todd Bodine, Carl Edwards, and Tony Stewart have all been to the Snowbirds!

Thunder R/C Car Racing Info:
Thunder Racing puts on radio control car races across the state of Florida.  We currently hold racing  at Marble Park in Manatee County, FL.  The track is for oval electric radio control R/C pan cars.  Thunder also holds indoor carpet races in Largo at the Minnreg building a few times a year and over Thanksgiving weekend.  And once a year, Thunder hosts the largest event in the world for R/C car racing, the Snowbird Nationals in Orlando.  We also have held several  R/C events in Orlando at the world famous Race Rock restaurant.  Back in the '90s we had an indoor track in Tampa that was high banked.  We also have held races at University Parkway at Hobbie Warehouse in Bradenton, at Franks Trains and Hobbies in Oldsmar, and at GT Bray Park in Bradenton.  R/C car racing is a wonderful and exciting hobby for all ages.  If you are racecar fan you will enjoy the thrills of this rewarding hobby.  Whether you like the friendships of fellow racers, the mechanical aspect of working on the cars, the challenging problem solving nature of auto racing, R/C car racing is for you.

Minnreg Annual Turkey Shoot Once again, a great weekend of racing is planned right after Thanksgiving!  This year the oval runs on Saturday, road on Sunday.  With many racers off on Friday look for a special 17.5 race Friday night and earlier practice on  Friday.  Adrenaline is having a special Saturday Road race, and we are working on a special combined race special for the Road racers that weekend.  Lots of good stuff planned - stay tuned!  As always you can sleep over and save cash!  Flyer will be on-line in October.  Check RCTECH and HOBBYTALK too.

Racer Appreciation Day this past Sunday was great - THANK YOU RACERS
Thanks to everyone coming out and of course to Mom and Dad cooking the dogs.  Lots of fun this past Sunday and great racing.  We have an awesome group of racers and families.  Win or lose - who cares - it's a hobby - so have fun!!  Big thanks to Jeff Maturo sponsoring the Dogs and Mike Haney bringing the potato salad.  Working on the next one.  Trying to do this once a month!  Next time maybe we can have some more open dishes.  The YMCA pool is open on the summer so bring the kids and family to MTR Raceway!

After a few years in the making, we have a new surface!  Thanks a million to Manatee County and everyone that has been behind this.  This could be the ultimate race location and to think we have a 'home' for many, many years is priceless.  Restrooms, covered pitting, shade, YMCA pool, playground, more - awesome!!  Stay tuned for our new race schedule coming real soon!  Look for a 'BIG' trophy race once a month.  We need someone to do food/drinks, so please let me know if you are interested in this at MTR when we race.
