This is a new concept we hope makes racing exciting - competitive - National - and all remain at a local level at your local track. A National ranking system like a point series where you can be racing against racers at another track. This new system will hopefully help promote weekly racing more and make it worthwhile to race on a local level as well as a National level.
The break-down of how points are earned are below. It is important to note that you do not have to race every week - because the system counts only the weeks you race. There are no throwouts either. Over time - all the weekly DRAWS are averaged by the number of weeks that you race -so after 20 weeks of racing you will have a good average to work with. The number of cars in a class are used so that if a racer wins with 10 cars against a racer that wins with 2 cars - the 10 car winner gets a slightly lower DRAW - which is the goal. Also in the equation are points for your qualifying efforts - which may make it mean more to race your 3 heats than just a starting position in the main. The main position is formulated to be 1.5 times as important as the qualifying points.
Draw Formula:
Main position + .1 for your
qualifying position - .1(per car in class) = DRAW
Draw Examples:
Both
these examples use a 2nd Main Position and a 2nd Qual position - with one main
having 3 cars
and the other 9 cars:
2 + .2 - .3 = 1.9 DRAW
2 + .2 - .9 = 1.3 DRAW
The first example
uses a 2nd qual
and a 1st place finish with 3 cars - the other a
3rd qual
and a 1st place finish with 3 cars:
1 + .2 - .3 = 0.9 DRAW
1 + .3 - .3 = 1.0 DRAW
one uses a 2nd qual and a
2nd place finish
with 3 cars - the other a 2nd qual and a
3rd place finish
with 3 cars:
2 + .2 - .3 = 1.9 DRAW
3 + .2 - .3 = 2.9 DRAW
